Stable and Continuous Coverage Provisions in Medicaid Gain Momentum Through Build Back Better Act

The Medicaid continuous coverage provision enacted under the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) has highlighted the importance of maintaining stable coverage for Medicaid enrollees. While major efforts will be needed to avoid massive losses in coverage once renewals of eligibility resume in Medicaid, new and expanded continuous eligibility policies are attracting interest at the state and federal levels.
