Unionless College Athletes Need an Ombudsman

The recent decision of the Big 12 Conference to have a championship game demonstrates the problems of amateurism. Although the football players participating in the game will be producing a large part of the $30 million that the game is expected to generate and will be risking injury and losing study time, they essentially had no say in this decision.
