Nevada to Become a Fully State-Based Platform

Nevada to Be First Exchange in Trump Era to Shift Back to State Platform
– Inside Health Policy

Manatt’s Joel Ario, a managing director of Manatt Health, was interviewed by Inside Health Policy to discuss Nevada’s plan to become a state-level health insurance exchange platform.

The publication noted that Nevada is one of five state-based exchanges that use federal assistance for enrollment and other services. However, the board of Nevada’s Silver State Health Exchange approved a plan to become a solely state-level platform in 2020.

Ario said that several other states, particularly those that were forced to abandon their own exchanges due to early technical problems, are also considering returning to a state-based exchange.
