Manatt’s Patricia Boozang, a senior managing director with our Manatt Health team, was interviewed by the Washington Post for an article on Maine’s gubernatorial race.

The publication noted that Democratic candidate Janet Mills and independent candidates Terry Hayes and Alan Caron have claimed they would support Medicaid expansion, while Republican candidate Shawn Moody has been on the fence on the issue. Boozang analyzed how the future governor will play a role in expanding the program at the federal level.

“Overall, you’ll likely see just a more aggressive and bolder health reform agenda, sort of like what you’re seeing in New Jersey and Virginia, if there’s a Democratic governor and of course a Democratic legislature,” said Boozang.
