Politico quoted Manatt’s Ian Spatz, a senior advisor with Manatt Health, for an article highlighting the importance of prescription drug prices to voters in the U.S.
Spatz said the industry’s initial reaction to the election was “shock and surprise” and “caused everyone to go back to the drawing board and figure out what the strategy is.”
However, drug costs are “an important pocketbook issue for voters” and it isn’t going away, he said. Spatz expects states will likely be the “focus of action.”
