Inside Health Policy quoted Manatt’s Cindy Mann, a partner in the firm’s Healthcare practice, for an article about the extension of a Texas 1115 Medicaid waiver that expands the state's reliance on managed care.
Mann said CMS allowed the 15-month extension just like it ultimately gave Florida a year to transition before its low income pool was reduced. After this extension, she said, CMS is going to apply these uncompensated care pool principles.
