Cooke, De la Cruz Named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top Minority Attorneys List

Manatt’s Michelle Cooke, leader of the firm’s intellectual property protection and enforcement practice, and Victor De la Cruz, leader of the firm’s land use practice, were once again named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2020 list of Top Minority Attorneys in Los Angeles. This annual list recognizes influential minority attorneys who have made impactful contributions to the Los Angeles business and legal community at large, and who have maintained the highest professional and ethical standards.

Cooke was named to the Top Minority Attorneys list for being the go-to attorney for clients facing complex, multijurisdictional trademark disputes. In particular, she is noted for her expansive knowledge of the intellectual property landscape in the United States and abroad, as well as for her international approach to preplanning, management and vigilance matters.

De la Cruz was recognized for successfully advising clients – including developers; institutions; individuals; for-profit companies; nonprofits; waste collection and recycling companies; and private homeowners – through complex land use matters at the intersection of law and government. Additionally, the publication highlights his involvement with the community through his support of the advancement of underrepresented communities.
