Daily Journal Recognizes Timi Hallem as a Top Woman Lawyer

Top Women Lawyers
– Daily Journal

The Daily Journal honored Manatt's Timi Hallem, co-chair of the firm's Hospitality practice, as a top woman lawyer in California for 2014. Hallem is one of only 100 lawyers statewide who has been named to the prestigious "Top Women Lawyers" list.

In its profile of Hallem, the Daily Journal highlights her recent role in the growing revitalization of downtown Los Angeles' Arts District. Hallem represents longtime client Lowe Enterprises Inc. in its acquisition and development of a multimillion-dollar project in the city's former Toy Town, soon to become a residential and mixed-used project designed for young urban professionals.

The Daily Journal also profiled Hallem's representation of Lowe in its negotiations with Orange County to develop a 100-acre piece of land on the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Irvine. In January, the Orange County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with Lowe to entitle and develop the former base.

"What I enjoy in my practice is helping people do what they want to do and do it as closely to the way they wanted to do it as possible," said Hallem. "It makes it so real, when you walk around and kick the tires, so to speak. It's sort of the fun of doing what I do."
