Jesse M. Brody Brings Extensive Advertising, Privacy and Digital Media Experience to Nationally Recognized Team
Manatt announced that Jesse M. Brody has joined the Los Angeles office as a partner in the Advertising, Marketing and Media practice group. Brody comes to Manatt from Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, where he was a partner and co-chair of the firm's Gaming practice group.
Focusing on legal and regulatory issues impacting the areas of advertising, entertainment, technology, new media and privacy, Brody advises clients on matters involving national and digital advertising campaigns, celebrity spokesperson agreements, sponsorship agreements, sweepstakes, contests and user-generated content promotions, social networking and viral marketing matters, claim substantiation, mobile applications and beyond. As a certified information privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Brody provides strategic compliance counseling on cutting-edge privacy issues, such as the collection of consumer data through mobile apps, compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, big data, Do Not Track, and behavioral advertising.

In addition to his work on traditional platforms, Brody frequently assists clients on new media matters, including user-generated content, social networks, downloadable software and mobile messaging. His extensive advertising experience includes advising on co-promotion arrangements, strategic alliances, product placement and integration arrangements, as well as advising clients that market products and services to children and that market consumer financial products and services.
