Manatt Corporate and Finance Partner Peter Olberg was named to the 2023 Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) Pro Bono Dean’s List, which honors individuals who have made a tremendous impact in helping low-income and under-resourced New Yorkers access legal support.
Olberg was recognized for his service to VOLS Incarcerated Mothers Law Project, which provides pro bono legal assistance on family law matters to women who are incarcerated at the Rose M. Singer Center at Rykers Island in New York City and at the Bedford Hills and Taconic Correctional Facilities in Westchester County, New York. The work generally involves helping the women with family law issues, such as custody and visitation matters, to help mothers remain in contact and in relationship with their children during their time of incarceration.
