Manatt’s Jack Quinn, leader of the firm’s government and regulatory group, spoke with CNN on former Department of Justice Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s upcoming testimony before Congress on July 24.
Mueller will speak on his two-year investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to CNN. He will testify for roughly five hours before two committees on the contents of his report.
Quinn said the hearing should be divided so that each side of the committee—Democrats and Republicans—each get one hour.
“This may be the last opportunity for Democrats to demonstrate that an impeachment proceeding [against President Donald Trump] is in order,” he said.
