Manatt Health partner Randi Seigel spoke with Inside Health Policy on the Department of Health and Human Services’ long-awaited proposals to change the physician-self referral, also known as the Stark Law, and anti-kickback statute regulations to ease providers’ participation in value-based pay models. In the article, Seigel said that “CMS and OIG have taken significant steps to help make it easier to move to value-based care, though not all pay arrangements would fit neatly into the structures that CMS and OIG are setting up for exceptions and safe harbors.”
