Manatt’s Cindy Mann, a partner with Manatt Health, was quoted by The Hill in an article that discussed the tests Medicaid may face in 2018 at both the federal and state levels.
Although congressional Republicans failed to impose drastic cuts to Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act repeal, the publication noted, lawmakers could try again next year.
Mann explained that attacks on Medicaid have made the program more popular. “Medicaid has always been supported by the people closest to it,” she said.
