Grant Expands Coverage for Addiction Care

The Lowell Sun quoted Manatt’s Patricia Boozang, a senior managing director with Manatt Health, for an article about a potential expansion of addiction treatment for Medicaid beneficiaries in Massachusetts. The state’s waiver for the funding was approved by CMS in November 2016.

“I think a lot of states are looking at Massachusetts' waiver,” said Boozang. “Medicaid really is just a crucial source of funding for states and I think many states are looking at how they can best leverage Medicaid to address the (opioid) epidemic.”
