Synthes USA, LLC v. Spinal Kinetics, Inc., Case No. 5:09-CV-01201. Represented Spinal Kinetics in a patent infringement case concerning spinal disc implants. After a four week jury trial, all asserted claims were found invalid and not infringed.
BioSign, GmbH v. Quantum Intech, Inc. Represented Quantum Intech, Inc. in defense of its European Patent No. 115681. On December 7, 2011, the European Patent Office held a hearing on BioSign’s opposition, and found all claims patentable.
Finisar Corp. v. The DIRECTV Group, et al., Case No. 1:05-CV-264. Represented DIRECTV in a patent infringement case concerning satellite broadcast television. After a jury trial and subsequent appeal, all asserted claims were found invalid.
Mag Instrument, Inc. v. Bison Sportslights, Inc., Case No. CV 02-3187. Represented Mag Instrument in a false advertising and trade secret misappropriation case. After a three week jury trial, all of Mag Instrument’s claims were sustained and damages in excess of $2 million were awarded.
Claire Maglica v. Anthony Maglica, Case No. 713117. Represented Anthony Maglica, the owner of Mag Instrument, Inc., in a widely publicized palimony jury trial. Action resulted in a favorable settlement for the client after almost two months of testimony.
